  • 1. Please have the child ready 5-10 minutes prior to each scheduled swim lesson.

  1. Please make sure that children change in the areas provided.  THERE IS NO CHANGING OF CHILDREN ON THE DECK OF THE POOL.

  1. The student/parent must notify SWIMtasticnyc LLC, 24 hours in advance for any cancellations otherwise you will be charged for that lesson.

  1. Swim lessons will be conducted even in rain, hail, snow, cold weather, unless we notify you.  If thunder or lighting should occur before the swim instructor arrives for the class, then the swim lesson will be cancelled and the make-up session will be made-up at the discretion of the swim instructor.  If the lesson gets interrupted due to thunder or lighting a land lesson will take place, teaching age appropriate skills.

  1. If your child is involved in a semi-private, or group class and the other participants are not there you will be charged for a private class

  1. I will be happy to discuss your child's progress after the lesson if time permits and there are no scheduled lessons afterwards.  If time does not permit I can be reached at a later time to discuss your child's lessons.

  1. Children may wear goggles during class. However, the goggles are to remain on their eyes for the entire lesson. Please adjust the size and test for leaks before their class; instructors will not be able to make adjustments during class.

  1. Children who are not COMPLETELY potty-trained must wear a Swim Diaper with a swimsuit over the diaper. Have older children use the restroom before their class is scheduled to begin. Please put a clean diaper on non-trained tots before entering the pool.

  1. All swimmers, regardless of age, must wear swimsuits.

  1. Remove all Band-Aids. If a wound is open and bleeding others will be at risk of contracting blood-borne pathogens. Please be considerate and use discretion with wounds that have not healed sufficiently.

  1. No food or drink is permitted on the pool deck.

  1. All children must enter the pool without food or gum in their mouths. Please avoid feeding your child dairy products and heavy, spicy foods several hours before class.

  1. Hair needs to be kept out of children's faces. Long hair needs to be in a ponytail or swimming cap. Boys and girls with long bangs need to have bangs pulled back with a ponytail holder or a barrette.

  1. If lessons are to take place at your pool, it is your responsibility to make sure pool is operational before instructor arrives or you will be charged for the class.

  1. Do not enter the pool without your child's instructor in the water.

  1. Make-up classes will be to the discretion of SWIMtasticnyc.

  1. All bags,jackets,clothes etc. must be left outside the pool area.

  1. All girls must use the lockers to change. Clothes and bags can be kept in a locker if you choose. Boys can still change at the pool, but must use bathrooms.  If taking a shower please wear suits






  1. All adults are asked to sit outside the pool area.  There are chairs and tables outside the doors to the pool as well as coat racks.


  1. If a sibling is taking a class after the other they may wait outside the pool until their brother/sister is done



  1. Towels are a courtesy Please take one towel per child.  If we abuse the towel courtesy it will disappear.

As always certain circumstances will be accepted (child's first class, separation issues etc).  Please speak to me about any concerns.
